The Mexican government has vowed to put barriers on US imports in retaliation for the tariffs that US President Donald Trump imposed on steel and aluminum products.
"Faced with tariffs imposed by the US, Mexico will impose equivalent measures on various products, such as flat steel... lightbulbs, pork legs and shoulders, sausages and prepared foods, apples, grapes, blueberries [and] various cheeses, among others, up to a comparable amount," the economy ministry said in a statement.
