BBVA’s story is one of a comeback. The Spanish lender climbed to the top of Dealogic’s rankings of LatAm bookrunners between October 2014 and September 2015, after lagging in the eighth spot the previous year. The bank led nineteen transactions worth $4.7 billion, almost double the $2.46 billion worth of deals that it led in the same period a year earlier.
In Dealogic’s lender league tables, the bank also stepped up, from fourth place to second in the 12 months to September 2015.
