Cremoux, who was previously head of LatAm FIG at UBS, will be based in New York. Silberstein, formerly the Swiss banks Mexico head, will stay in Mexico City. The bank, which lost all of its experienced LatAm debt bankers over the last 12 months, has also hired Mark Tuttle to head LatAm DCM. Tuttle left JPMorgans LatAm DCM group in a December reorganization. Tuttle replaces Marcelo Delmar, who was appointed head of LatAm DCM at BNP Paribas. The French bank is also relocating Lodewijk Spoorenberg, head of Americas for energy, commodities, export and project finance, back to Europe for a senior role in corporate and investment banking (CIB). Gerard Cremoux and Jorge Silberstein have been appointed co-heads of LatAm investment banking at UBS, charged with rebuilding the franchise after the sale of Pactual to BTG.
