The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said it granted a $150 million loan for education, job training and other social programs in the city of Porto Alegre in Brazil. "The program will address the main sources of vulnerability for the groups most affected by the pandemic," the IDB said in a press release on Wednesday, adding that the funding will expand nurseries for children and allow their caregivers, mostly women, to join the workforce.
