The Colombian subsidiary of Italy's Enel said it cancelled construction of a wind farm in La Guajira department after years of delays. The 205 MW Windpeshi project was expected to generate 1,011 GWh of electricity, but protesters from local Wayuu communities started blocking access to the construction in 2021, according to press reports.
