Glencore unit explores tailings tie-up

Volcan, a Peruvian zinc producer owned by commodity giant Glencore, signed a memorandum of understanding with Cerro de Pasco Resources (CDPR) for a project to mine a century-old tailings deposit.  Volcan said it will grant access to CDPR to its mineral processing plants to allow the company to test the tailings at the Quiulacocha deposit, according to a securities filing.
