Siderperu, the Peruvian subsidiary of Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau, signed a new $15 million credit line with Spanish lender BBVA to finance scrap metal imports for steelmaking. The deal is $5 million higher than a previous arrangement and represents the renewal of the first sustainable letters of credit for imports in Peru, BBVA said in a press release.
