Argentina's energy secretariat on Thursday launched a call for bids to build 620 MW of renewable power capacity with a total investment of $500 million, the first such auction by the administration of President Alberto Fernández as it seeks to boost output of clean energy. The license will be for installing plants that generate power from the wind or sun or from biogas, biomass or run-of-river hydropower, according to a resolution.
