  Enel Brasil, the Brazilian subsidiary of Italian utility company Enel, said it plans to sell its electricity distribution business in the northeastern state of Ceará. The company was reported to have hired local investment bank BTG Pactual to advise it on the sale of Enel Ceará. It was also reported to have retained Morgan Stanley to find possible buyers for renewable energy assets, according to local financial newspaper Valor Econômico.
