The head of Argentina's power regulator said the government could purchase Enel's local electricity distributor Edesur as the Italian company plans its withdrawal from the local market, according to press reports. Walter Martello, head of the regulator known as ENRE, said in a radio interview that the government should evaluate a possible acquisition with the aim of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Edesur's services, local news service Infobae reported.
