Multibank issues first international bonds in six years

Panamanian lender Multibank returned to the international bond market on Friday after a six-year absence, issuing $300 million in five-year notes to pay off outstanding debt, according to a source familiar with the deal. Multibank priced the new 7.75% 2028 notes at 98.986 to yield 8% after opening the deal at around 8.125%, the source said. Orders peaked at $700 million with HSBC and SMBC as joint bookrunners on the Rule 144A/Reg S deal, the source added. Moody's assigned the bonds a Ba1 rating
