Colombia said Wednesday that it raised a total $2.2 billion in the sale of 7.5% 2034 bonds in the international markets after investors swapped notes that mature in 2024 for newly issued ones. The sovereign issuer sold $1.8 billion worth of 7.5% 2034 bonds on Tuesday and added $533 million to the deal after bondholders turned in $401 million in 4% 2024s and $138 million in 8.125% 2024s for the new notes, the finance ministry said in a press release.
