El Salvador's Finance Ministry said Tuesday that it paid off its 7.75% 2023 bonds on time, "despite the information published by the national and international media that predicted a default." The government paid the remaining $800 million, including interest, after completing two buybacks in 2022, the ministry said in a press release.
