Elektra to refinance debt in local bond market

Mexican retail and financial services company Grupo Elektra could issue MXN5.5 billion ($276 million) in local bonds to refinance debt and fund its expansion plans, according to a report from ratings agency PCR Verum. Elektra plans to add up to MXN4 billion in pesos and inflation-linked UDIs to MXN5 billion worth of bonds that it originally sold in a two-part deal in March this year.
