EDP Brasil, a unit of the Portuguese electric utility company EDP, has agreed to sell the Mascarenhas hydropower plant to a joint venture of the UK investment firm Victory Hill Capital Partners and the Brazilian electricity company Paraty Energia for an estimated BRL1.2 billion ($234 million), Paraty executives told LatinFinance on Thursday.
