Engie Brasil Energia, the Brazilian subsidiary of French power company Engie, said its sold it last coal-fired thermoelectric power plant in Brazil to local investment firms Starboard Asset and Perfin for BRL2.2 billion ($417 million), including debt. Starboard and Perfin agreed to pay BRL450 million for the 345 MW Pampa Sul plant and take on BRL1.8 billion in debt.
