Glencore sells zinc miner in Peru

Swiss mining and commodity trading company Glencore has agreed to sell Peruvian miner Los Quenuales to Lima-based Alpayana for an undisclosed amount, according to a securities filing. Perubar, a local subsidiary of Baar-based Glencore, said two affiliates, Glencore Finance and Sandown Resources, made the deal with Alpayana.  Los Quenuales produces zinc, lead and copper from four mines in Peru, including Yaliyacu, which began operations in 1919 as part of Cerro de Pasco Mining Corporation and was
