Engie Energía Perú, the Peruvian subsidiary of French power company Engie, said it signed a $300 million loan agreement with IDB Invest to finance the Punta Lomitas wind farm, according to a press release. Engie will use the 11-year financing to pay off short-term loans and cover investments in the 296 MW project in the southern department of ICA, including the construction of 60km transmission line to connect Punta Lomitas to the national grid, it said in the press release on Wednesday.
