AES mixes debt, equity for wind farm acquisition

AES Brasil Energia, the Brazilian subsidiary of US power company AES Corp, plans to fund the acquisition of three wind farms with a combination of debt and equity, the company's head of investor relations told LatinFinance. "We've managed to get a funding structure with around 50% debt and 50% equity," José Simão said on Tuesday. AES announced on Monday that it agreed to pay BRL2.03 billion ($396 million) to buy the wind farms from British renewable energy investor Cubico Sustainable Investments
