Alsea appoints new CEO

Mexican restaurant operator Alsea said it has named Armando Torrado as CEO to replace Fernando González, who steps down on Friday after less than six months on the job. Torrado has worked at Alsea for more than 30 years and previously led the company's international operations in South America and Europe, responsible for 55% of total sales, according to a press release on Wednesday.
