Vibra moves into biomethane

Brazilian fuel distribution company Vibra Energia said it agreed to buy 50% of ZEG Biogás e Energia for BRL160 million ($29.6 million) and invest BRL206 million to increase biomethane production, according to a securities filing. Vibra, formerly known as BR Distribuidora, said it will pay BRL30 million upfront for half of ZEG Biogás, followed by BRL130 million at closing.
