Mexican retailer and consumer lender Grupo Elektra said it sold MXN5 billion ($242 million) worth of bonds in a three-part deal on the BIVA exchange in Mexico City, according to securities filings. The company priced MXN3.35 billion in 6.1-year bonds at a fixed rate of 11.97% as well as MXN525 million in 3.3-year notes at 185 basis points over the reference rate, equal to 9.88% for the first payment period, Elektra said in filings this week.
