The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) has granted a $145 million to fund a highway project in Panama, it said in a press release.
The six-year loan charges 4.75% per year, and the proceeds will go to the Beach Corridor Project to rebuild a stretch of the Pan-American Highway in La Chorrera district west of Panama City, CABEI said.
The project includes repaving the road and building a new viaduct to handle a steady increase in traffic, according to CABEI.
