IFC lends to ethanol plant in Brazil

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) said Tuesday that it arranged $50 million in financing for Brazil's Usina Santa Adélia to expand ethanol production and replant sugarcane fields. IFC put in $30 million from its own account and brought in another $20 million from Dutch lender Rabobank, the World Bank's private sector division said in a press release.
