SPI Energy maxes out debut bond

Argentine power company SPI Energy said Friday that it maxed out its offer of debut bonds in the local market, raising $135 million in a two-part deal. The company started the offer at $115 million but increased that after demand came in at the maximum, according to a securities filing. Both of the notes are linked to the dollar, meaning that they are bought and paid back in pesos and pay a margin over the depreciation of the wholesale exchange rate against the dollar.
