The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) said it sold AUD72 million ($51.7 million) worth of 10-year social bonds in Australian dollars in a private placement with Japan's Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company.
The bank priced the new 2032 notes at a fixed rate of 3.94% and plans to use the proceeds to fund social development projects in Central America, said a source involved in the deal.
