Argentina announced Tuesday that it reached an agreement to extend the deadline for repaying a $2.45 billion loan to the Paris Club of lending nations for another two years, gaining the government time to return the economy to sustainable growth and shore up public finances. The sovereign now has until September 30, 2024, to pay back or refinance the loan, according to a presidential decree.
