Banco Bci, the third-largest lender in Chile, said it received a permit from Peruvian banking regulator SBS to start operations in the neighboring country.
The Santiago-based lender said Banco Bci Perú was granted a universal banking license and can start operating as soon as it has registered with securities regulator SMV, and the BVL stock exchange in Lima, according to a securities filing.
