Argentina said Thursday that it approved plans to borrow $4.7 billion from three Chinese banks to finance two large hydropower projects in southern Patagonia, a project long delayed by the country's political shifts and a financial crisis. The government will get a term loan from China Development Bank, Bank of China and ICBC to build the President Néstor Kirchner and Governor Jorge Cepernic projects in the province of Santa Cruz, according to a presidential decree.
