Mexican VC firm raises $25 mln to invest in start-ups in its portfolio

Mexican venture capital fund Ignia said Tuesday that added MXN500 million ($25.2 million) from an existing investor for its first fund, VC Fund I. Ignia will use the money to fund investments in financing rounds for US online grocery platform Takeoff, Mexican online lender Fondeadora, Colombian online contact lens seller Lentesplus, Mexican payments platform UnDosTres and Mexican online fashion marketplace GoTrendier, the Mexico City-based firm said in a press release.
