Petrobras removes deep-water fields from planned asset sales

Brazil's state-run oil company Petrobras no longer plans to sell four concessions in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, "marking the beginning of the development of a new frontier in deep waters," it said in a securities filing. The company had called for binding offers for its stakes in the four fields, but it halted the sales after "considering the alignment of the concessions to the company's strategy and the improvement of Petrobras' economic-financial indicators," it said in the filing on Friday.
