Digicel to exit Panama as rivals merge

Caribbean telecommunications company Digicel said it plans to close shop in Panama after Cable & Wireless Panamá (CWP), a subsidiary of US-based telco Liberty Latin America, got the go-ahead to buy the local unit of mobile phone carrier Claro.
