Colombian fintech gets $24 mln from venture capital firms to expand its payment network

Colombian financial technology firm Minka said it drummed up $24 million in an investment round to finance the expansion of its blockchain-based payment network, according to press reports. The financing round was led by venture capital firms Tiger Global Management and Kaszek, and the proceeds will be used to connect more banks, clearing houses and other companies to its platform, US news service TechCrunch reported.
