The Port of Santos could grant award a 35-year concession contract to manage the port by the end of the year, although elections in October could cause delays, Santos Port Authority (SPA) CEO Fernando Biral said Tuesday. "We believe it will still be possible to hold an auction this year," Biral told reporters after an event in Santos. The timing is tricky, however, because the winner of the presidential election this year, who could have different plans for the port, takes office in January 2023
