Argentina gains access to IMF fund

Argentina has been granted access to $1.3 billion in financing from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to mitigate the impact of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic, according to local press reports. The country will be able to take out 20-year loans with a 10.5-year grace period from the IMF's Resilience and Sustainability Trust will be available to the South American country as of May 1, local newspaper Ámbito Financiero reported.
