The European Investment Bank (EIB) said Monday that it granted a €600 million ($653 million) sustainability-linked loan for Italian power company Enel to fund renewable energy investments in Brazil, Colombia and Peru. The multi-currency loan comes backed by a guarantee from Italian export credit agency SACE and includes $130 million to build solar and wind power projects in Peru with 300 MW in capacity, the EIB said in a press release.
