Mexican development bank Banobras is expected to award a contract to build, finance and operate toll roads in the state of Nayarit on May 30, marking the first public-private partnership (PPP) in the highway sector in almost five years, local business newspaper El Economista reported. The winning builder will have to invest up to MXN7 billion ($339 million) to lay 55.4 kilometers of highway between the cities of Tepic, Jala, Las Varas and Compostela in the southwestern state, according to El Eco
