Chile became the first sovereign issuer to sell sustainability-linked bonds (SLBs) in the international market on Wednesday "with remarkable results," the finance ministry said in a press release.
Chile printed $2 billion in 2042 bonds after orders reached a total of $8.1 billion, or 4.1 times the amount issued, "from a broad base of investors," Finance Minister Rodrigo Cerda said in the press release.
The 20-year bonds carried a coupon of 4.34% and priced at 99.92 to yield 4.346%, or 200 basis
