Chile's new government has drafted a package of measures to help the economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and fulfill campaign promises by President Gabriel Boric.
The stimulus plan, which is set to be unveiled in the coming days, will cost $3.5 billion and seeks to create 350,000 jobs in the short term to bring employment back to pre-pandemic levels, Finance Minister Mario Marcel told a cabinet meeting on Friday, according to local newspaper La Tercera.
