World Bank approves new loans to Colombia

The World Bank said it has granted $830 million in financing to Colombia, including $750 million for energy transition and loans to women and $80 million for education. The larger loan "will promote new policies to improve the equity and resilience of households, including addressing the barriers that women face in accessing economic opportunities," the World Bank said in a press release on Thursday. It will also support low-carbon energy policies, protect biodiversity and reduce deforestation,
