Banco Pichincha issues first gender bond in Ecuador

Banco Pichincha has issued the first gender bond in Ecuador, selling $100 million worth of five-year notes to fund loans to women-led small businesses, the bank said in a press release on Thursday. The new 2027 bonds priced at six-month Libor plus 4.3% and received a AAA- rating from BankWatch Ratings, according to Banco Pichincha.
