Cargill buys stake in Chile's Multi X

US food corporation Cargill has signed a deal to buy 24.5% of Chilean Atlantic salmon producer Multi X for $290 million, according to a press release on Friday. As part of the deal, Japanese conglomerate Mitsui, which bought into Multi X in 2015, will purchase an additional 1.13%, giving it a 24.5% stake in the company, according to the press release.
