Neonergia funds renewables with EIB loan

Neoenergia, the Brazilian subsidiary of Spanish electric utility company Iberdrola, said it borrowed €200 million ($222 million) from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance two wind farms and a solar park. "The financial sector plays an essential role in mobilizing the necessary resources to develop sustainable projects as well as making sure that activities of the company will be responsible and in line with the best ESG practices," Neoenergia CEO Mario Ruiz-Tagle said in a press release
