Atlas Renewable Energy said Friday that it obtained a BRL407 million ($79.2 million) loan from Brazilian development bank Banco do Nordeste (BNB) for the Lar do Sol-Casablanca II solar power plant in the state of Minas Gerais. Atlas, part of UK-based emerging markets investment firm Actis, will build and operate the plant, which will have capacity to produce 239MWp using 460,000 solar panels, according to a statement.
