El Salvador said Wednesday that it agreed to pay $74 million to repurchase $82.3 million worth of 2023 and 2025 notes after investors turned in more than the maximum amount. The country accepted $62.8 million in 7.75% 2023 bonds and $19.5 million in 5.875% 2025 bonds, it said in a press release. Bondholders had tendered $76 million in 2023 bonds, or 11.4% of the outstanding amount, and $19.5 million in 2025 bonds, or 5.31%, it added.
