Engie Brasil Energia, a subsidiary of French power company Engie, said it received BRL1.5 billion ($291 million) in long-term financing from Brazil's national development bank BNDES to build the Serra do Assuruá wind power complex in the state of Bahia. The 21-year loan covers "a significant portion of the investments to be made in the project" with the first payment due in December 2025, Engie said in a securities filing on Thursday.
