World Bank will lend the country $1 bln to transition to clean energy and adapt to climate change

The World Bank agreed to lend Colombia $1 billion to fund the country’s transition to clean sources of energy and other measures to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The financing will help the country lower its carbon emissions in the energy and transportation sectors in particular, including support for investments in renewable energy and green hydrogen projects, the multilateral lender said in a statement.
