Colombian Finance Minister Jose Antonio Ocampo said the government is interested in purchasing fertilizer producer Monómeros from Venezuela in order to secure supplies and bolster agricultural production, according local press reports. "On the issue of fertilizers, I've said that we're willing to do everything, to even — here, between us — buy Monómeros and expand it significantly," Ocampo said at a coffee growers event, according to Portafolio newspaper.
