Canadian mining company First Quantum said Friday that it is weighing legal action after the Panamanian government announced plans to order the suspension of operations at its local copper mine amid a royalty dispute. The company said it is doing "everything possible" to defend itself and preserve the Cobre Panamá mine, "including through all legal means," according to a press release.
