Argentina gets funds for contingent credit facility

Argentina said Monday that it has accepted a $400 million continent credit facility from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for emergency public health responses to natural disasters or other catastrophic events. The country can tap into the credit facility for a health response, helping to protect public finances from a sudden increase in spending. The 25-year loan pays a rate of interest based on the secured overnight financing rate (SOFR), the government said in a presidential decree.
